Duplex
Printers
Associations seeking to reduce the
amount of paper, staff time, and administration costs
should consider the advantages offered by a duplex laser
printer.
A duplex printer prints on both sides of
the paper. This reduces the amount of paper used
by 50%, and is ideal for drafts, documents destined for
the recycled bin, archives or filed copies, and items
that will be mailed.
As well, duplex printers can be set up
as two separate printers -- one which prints to both
sides, and one that prints single-sided only.
Users simply select the printer appropriate to their
requirements for the particular job.
Duplex printers are a bit more expensive
than a normal printer, but the additional cost can be
quickly recouped.
Technology has a significant role in
the work of association staff. The Technology Tips
focus on how individuals can manage using
technology rather than being managed by
technology.
