Quick and Easy
Backup
If you need to back up a
large number of files on your PC, or move a large number
of files to another computer or off-site, here is a
quick and easy way to do it if you have a CD Writer.
I use a software product called Prassi
abCD that works with CD-RW discs. Prassi abCD
turns the CD-RW disc into a huge re-usable storage
device. Once created, it works just like your
floppy or your hard drives.
Using your Windows files management
application, you can copy and past multiple files and/or
folders to the CD-RW just as you would on your hard
drive or floppy drive.
Copying a very large My Documents
directory on to the CD-RW took only a couple of
minutes.
Note: To access the files on another
computer, it also needs to have Prassi abCD
installed.
