and Presentations
A
priority investment for associations and non-profits is to
provide training and development to board members, staff and
volunteers.
Associations and non-profits often have
difficulty locating individuals and companies who are very
knowledgeable about the sector and can provide training, deliver
sessions, and speak at their events.
At Association Xpertise Inc., we have extensive
expertise and experience in working with associations and
non-profits, as well as research in the sector, and we can
create training sessions and presentations in a variety of
formats based on your needs.
We do some free public sessions on topics of
interest to the sector, especially when there is a need for
broad awareness. For example, in partnership with various law
firms, AXI delivered sessions on Associations and Privacy Laws
in Calgary, Edmonton, Regina, Saskatoon and Vancouver.
Almost 300 association and non-profit executives attended these
sessions.

We also deliver more in-depth sessions to meet
specific training needs of the sector. Our particular
focus is on topics that are unique to the sector and not readily
available, or on topics where AXI brings a new better practice
perspective to a topic or issue.
These sessions typically have a target audience
based on the topic, and a registration fee is charged. Check out

AXI can deliver individualized workshops and
seminars on a variety of topics specifically for your board
members, staff or volunteers. Sessions can vary in length
depending on the needs of the organization and the particular
topic.
An example of AXI's work is a recent session
delivered at a provincial organization's training event.
Participants included the association's board, as well as
directors from their local chapters. The topics covered by AXI
included: trends in component relations, better practices in
volunteer board governance, better practices in constituent
relations, and better practices in Board meetings and AGMs.
