Privacy Policy
Before proceeding with the implementation of a privacy policy, ensure that legal counsel is consulted.
Things to keep in mind:
-
Does it satisfy privacy and freedom of information laws?
-
Does it satisfy other regulatory or statutory requirements, such as marketing codes, fundraising codes, etc.?
-
Who will enforce the privacy code, and deal with complaints?
-
How will you make sure everyone knows what they can and cannot do?
-
Is everything that you are committing to achievable or deliverable?
