Eli Mina, M.Sc.., P.R.P. is a professional meeting chairman and Registered Parliamentarian, who runs a unique consulting and training practice out of Vancouver, British Columbia. Since 1984, Eli has served his clients by demystifying and simplifying the use of Robert's Rules of Order, chairing contentious meetings, and leading interactive seminars and workshops. Eli's clients come from associations, municipal government, school boards, businesses, credit unions, regulatory bodies, labour unions, and non-profit corporations. Eli has a Master's degree in Engineering and holds the designations of a Professional Registered Parliamentarian (PRP) and Certified Professional Parliamentarian (CPP). These designations are given by the National Association of Parliamentarians (NAP) and the American Institute of Parliamentarians (AIP) respectively, after detailed exams on rules of order. Eli also completed B.C.'s Justice Institute's conflict resolution certificate program. Eli's effectiveness can best be attributed to his no-nonsense holistic approach to meetings, rules of order, controversies and organizational health. In tackling complex and sensitive issues, Eli looks beyond procedural formalities and surface issues. He challenges his clients to operate "outside the box", question current practices and identify the most effective ways of advancing the mandates of their respective organizations. Eli consistently looks to uphold the fundamental principles of fairness, equality and common sense. Eli has published numerous articles on his areas of expertise. He is also the author of the following books:
